Lazarus "Lazzie"

Meet Lazarus, affectionately known as Lazzie! This 3-4 year old, 50 lb black Lab mix is a true gem. Lazzie is a volunteer favorite, known for his calm, gentle, and quiet demeanor. He absolutely loves lounging and cuddling on the bed with his canine companions and his people. He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and currently shares his home with a tiny chihuahua and a 70 lb pit bull. Lazzie even enjoyed a social outing at a local bar, where he charmingly made new friends, showing he's a sweet and gentle soul with strangers.

Ideal Home

Lazzie would thrive in a home where he can relax and cuddle with his family. He's already shown he's great with dogs of various sizes and is likely good with cats and children.

Ongoing Health

Lazzie arrived with mange and an upper respiratory infection, clearly having lacked proper care. He has since received full veterinary treatment, is now healthy and strong, and is fully vaccinated and neutered.

Training & Support

Lazzie is kennel trained and potty trained. He's also proven to be dog-friendly and comfortable in new social settings.

Transportation

Lazzie is located in Houston, TX. Transportation is included in the adoption fee and can potentially take him to your state or a neighboring state. Please note that pickup locations for transported dogs can vary. We coordinate with ground transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states. You will be able to track the transport van using the Life360 app and receive updates.
