Iona

Iona is an over 1 year old, female Golden Mountain Doodle ready for her new home. She's an active, intelligent girl with a strong desire to please, and she genuinely wants to do the right thing. Iona responds well to patient, confident leadership. She joined our program through a bittersweet transition, and while she is part of our breeding program, our heart is for each of our dogs to have a forever family where they are first and foremost beloved companions.

Ideal Home

Iona can be a little insecure in new situations and may express that by barking or keeping her distance from unfamiliar people. She can be somewhat intimidated by some men. We have not had the opportunity to observe her around children. She and another female from the same home have developed sibling syndrome, so we are intentionally seeking separate homes for them. We believe she will thrive when given the opportunity to bond deeply with her own family and continue growing independently.

Ongoing Health

Iona will receive proper vaccinations and deworming before going home. She will also receive proper vet checks and health care.

Training & Support

We believe Iona's insecurities are very workable traits, and with consistency, positive experiences, and training, we fully expect her confidence to continue to grow. To support our guardian families, we reimburse 50% of all completed training expenses while a dog is under contract with our program. Iona is crate trained and potty trained.
