Portia is a wonderful house companion who enjoys simply being near her people. Whether youre relaxing on the couch, reading a book, or watching TV, shell be happy just spending time by your side. She is fully potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, and children. Like many senior pups, Portia moves a little slower these days, but she still enjoys heading outside for leisurely strolls and fresh air. Her appetite remains excellent, and she would gladly choose a tasty meal of canned food over kibble any day of the week!

Portia would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can enjoy the simple pleasures of life. She may even enjoy having an older canine companion to share her days with, as she genuinely likes other dogs. *We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.

*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.

*Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.

*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

*All of our adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
