Tanuki

Tanuki is a sweet 69-pound boy who is approximately 12-14 years young. He came to us surrendered because his previous family believed he wouldn't walk or move, but we discovered he was suffering from lumbar spondylosis, arthritis, and heartworm disease. After bringing him into rescue and treating his heartworms, along with starting him on pain management, Tanuki has made a truly remarkable transformation! He's now happy, comfortable, and living life to the fullest, soaking up all the love he can and giving it back tenfold. He is wonderfully polite with other dogs and we suspect he would be just as easygoing with cats. Tanuki absolutely lights up for two things: splashing in a pool and playing fetch!

Ideal Home

Tanuki enjoys gentle play and relaxation. He is good with kids and dogs.

Ongoing Health

Tanuki has been treated for heartworm disease and is managed for lumbar spondylosis and arthritis with pain medication.

Training & Support

Tanuki is house-trained. He enjoys playing fetch and loves to swim.
