Shep is a handsome male Terrier mix with a loyal heart and a gentle, steady personality. He's the kind of dog who forms strong bonds with his people and enjoys being close by, whether it's relaxing at home or keeping you company throughout the day.
With a calm home and a loving family, Shep will be a devoted and faithful companion.
Shep is around 2 years old and around 19 pounds.
House trained
Cat friendly
Sweet and cuddly once they warm up
The perfect little shadows for someone patient and kind
He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but given a little time and he'll melt right into you for snuggles and love. He's still working on his leash manners, but he's a smart pup and eager to learn with someone willing to guide him.
Foster Update 5/22/2026:
They (Shep and Shiloh) are so sweet! They are very playful with each other but don't exactly know how to play with toys with humans yet. But we are working on it. They are housebroken, no accidents even overnight outside of the crate. They are both still very scared of everything but they are such lovable babies once they warm up to you. They can't be walked on leash yet so a fenced in backyard is a must. Shiloh will climb a chain link so it needs to be privacy fence for her. Shep is such a playful happy boy that loves to dig and steal all of the toys and play with each one of them. Both get the zoomies but also just want to be with their people so could be couch potatoes too.
Foster Update 6/1/2026:
Shep is getting a little more comfy in his routine. Absolutely no house accidents.
Scared of any fast movements and also of my husband. He'll bark at him when he comes to hug or kiss me. Also shy of my mother who is quiet and doesn't really move around. But he's been affectionate towards me and likes to sleep on his bed in our room.
He loves hunting lizards and bugs in the back yard. A picky eater and not very food motivated.
He loves stealing our shoes and even any clothes he can find! He makes a pile of his treasures
