Meet Ruffles!
Ruffles is a 10-month-old teacup pittie, if you will, weighing in at just 35 pounds. She may be petite, but her heart is absolutely full-sized. This sweet girl is an absolute velcro dog who loves tagging along with her humans wherever they go. Ruffles loves everyone she meets: people, dogs, cats, you name it. She is gentle and affectionate with her people, but she also loves a good rough-and-tumble romp with her canine friends. After playtime, she is more than happy to curl up close and remind you that snuggling is one of her greatest talents.
Ruffles came to us after she was dumped at an RV park in Austin, Texas. She was alone, scared, and unsure of what would happen next. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan found her, took her home, and helped her get to safety. Despite such a heartbreaking start, Ruffles has remained the sweetest, most trusting little soul.
Ruffles is mostly deaf, but she is really good at hiding it. She is incredibly in tune with her surroundings and pays close attention to the movement of people and other dogs, vibrations, changes in light, and the rhythm of the home around her. She may not care about Fourth of July fireworks or the sound of a vacuum, and she will not be the dog barking when the doorbell rings, but she somehow always knows when mom or dad gets home from work, and she is the first one at the door to greet them!
Ideal Home
Ruffles has the kind of temperament that could fit beautifully into so many homes, from toddlers to seniors and anything in between. She does not require a fenced yard, as her off-leash skills are excellent. She stays close to her person, is attentive, and does not have a high prey drive that would cause her to wander off.
Ongoing Health
Ruffles is fully vetted. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm negative.
Training & Support
Ruffles rides well in the car, is crate trained, and is learning the leash like a very good girl. She is also very good about not having accidents in the house and already has so many wonderful companion-dog skills. She is the kind of pup who wants to be included, wants to be near her people, and wants nothing more than to love and be loved.

- After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet/the start of your foster-to-adopt trial.
- All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa.
- Ruffles' adoption fee is $250, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period.
Transporation
Ruffles is located in Texas. If you are located outside of Texas, we can arrange transportation.
