Alder

Alder is a handsome 3-year-old Great Pyrenees mix who came to us from Texas. He's a shy but friendly gentleman who craves affection and attention, and we suspect he'll master the Pyr paw in no time! Alder is interested in playing with other dogs but is unsure how to do so. A home with a calmer, playful dog would be beneficial, and we believe he'll come out of his shell once he can decompress. He is protective of his food, so he'll need to be fed separately from other dogs. Alder doesn't seem to mind cats and would likely do well in a home with children who are past the screeching years. A fenced yard would be ideal, but he does walk well on a leash. However, he will not stay close to home if let outside unsupervised.

Ideal Home

A home with a calmer, playful dog would be beneficial. A fenced yard is ideal, but a home without one is acceptable as long as you are committed to daily walks. A home with children who are past the screeching years would likely be fine.
