About Sherpa Throw

Sherpa is a 2-3-year-old, 80lb bundle of intelligence and charm! He was found in a tough situation, suffering from wounds, fleas, and heartworms. After months of dedicated medical care, Sherpa made a full recovery, and his spirited personality has truly blossomed. He's a diligent and intelligent dog with a wonderfully independent streak, making him a fantastic companion for those who appreciate a dog with a mind of their own. Sherpa is friendly with people and generally gets along well with other dogs of similar size, though he often prefers to be exploring or focused on a task. He's a sweet boy who is eager to please, but he's still maturing and learning appropriate social skills.

Ideal Home

Sherpa is looking for a home that appreciates his working-dog nature and independent spirit. While he's friendly, he can be more interested in his own explorations or tasks, so an adopter who understands and supports this will be a great fit.

Ongoing Health

Sherpa has made a full recovery from his past medical issues and is now in excellent health.

Training & Support

To help Sherpa continue to flourish, he has been attending Instinct Dog Behavior and Training, where he's excelling in scent work and honing his communication skills. His adopter will be gifted 8 FREE private training sessions with Instinct's experienced trainers. These sessions can be taken in-person (for those in NYC or willing to travel) or virtually from anywhere, providing excellent support for a smooth transition home.
