Roscoe is a handsome, loyal boy who has spent the last three years waiting for a chance at a real home. Found abandoned and scared, he was given a second chance by someone who patiently earned his trust and brought him to safety. Since then, he’s been living in boarding while waiting for the right person to see his potential. Roscoe was born around November 2021 and weighs about 77 pounds. Once Roscoe trusts you, he is a total cuddle bug who loves belly rubs and affection. He enjoys playing with squeaky toys, running around with his favorite ball, and engaging in a good game of fetch.
Ideal Home
Roscoe would do best in an adult-only home or older children, a home with an experienced dog owner, a structured environment where he can continue training, and a single-dog household where he can be the center of attention. We recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned in the listing.
Training & Support
Roscoe will need a patient, experienced adopter who can help him decompress and continue building confidence. He can be nervous with new people at first and needs time to warm up, but with consistency and reassurance he learns quickly and wants to please his handler. Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and that’s the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again. Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That’s when you’ll see them bloom — soft and steady — into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you’ll realize they were never the only one being rescued.
