Mabel is a 2.5-year-old pit bull mix who weighs 64 pounds. She is spayed and vaccinated. This sweet girl was found abandoned outside a fitness studio, facing fear and aggression before a kind person stepped in to foster her. Despite her ordeal, Mabel is incredibly sweet and adores people. Her favorite activities include close snuggles, giving kisses, going for car rides, and receiving plenty of attention. She's a happy and outgoing dog who loves everyone she meets, including visitors and neighborhood children. Mabel has shown a special gentleness with her foster family's autistic son, happily cuddling and playing with him with immense patience and sweetness. She truly has a heart of gold.
Ideal Home
Mabel would thrive in a home filled with love, cuddles, and comfy furniture. She would do well with a playful and tolerant dog companion of medium to large size, or as the only pet in the house. She would likely do best in a home without cats. Mabel can be left unsupervised without destructive behavior and enjoys being near her humans.
Ongoing Health
Mabel appreciates a little extra patience and support during vet visits and procedures to help her feel safe.
Training & Support
Mabel enjoys playing with other dogs and can sometimes get a bit overexcited during play. She is still learning when playtime should end. On walks, she gets very happy to see other dogs and may pull to greet them, but she is making good progress with her leash manners. She is not a fan of crates and prefers to sleep cuddled with her people.
