Meet Jules!
Jules is a 2-year-old Doberman who has already overcome so much in her young life. She came to us from a hoarding situation after her owner sadly passed away. Despite her challenging beginnings, Jules is incredibly resilient and ready to find the loving, stable home she deserves. She's a fun-loving, affectionate girl with a goofy personality and a huge heart. Jules adores her people and is always up for a cuddle. Whether she's showing off her tricks, playing with her favorite toy, or just being silly, Jules brightens every day. She's a smart cookie who knows her basic commands and a few extra tricks, making training a joy. Jules is motivated by treats and toys, and she thrives when she can use her brain and athleticism. She's always up for an adventure, whether it's swimming, playing tug-of-war, running, or trying out canicross or bikejoring. After a busy day, she's happy to relax by your side or nap on her own.
Ideal Home
Jules would thrive in an active home that can meet her physical and mental exercise needs and continue her training. She would do best in a home without cats.
Ongoing Health
Jules currently takes a daily medication to help manage her anxiety. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Jules can be fearful when meeting unfamiliar dogs on leash, which can sometimes make her seem defensive. With proper introductions, she enjoys canine companionship. She's also making excellent progress with her separation anxiety and is doing well with crate training. Because she has been destructive when left alone in the past, she'll do best in a home where someone is around much of the time while she builds confidence. Continued positive, reward-based training is essential to help her gain confidence around new dogs and build independence. All adopters must agree not to use punitive training methods.
