Lex is the epitome of a good time! She's a bouncy, playful dog who is loving of everyone and excited to make new friends, whether they have two legs or four. Lex is a Pitbull Cattle Dog mix, weighing in at 56lbs of pure happiness. She has beautiful cattle spotting and adorable pointed ears, making her a truly pretty pup. Lex is the queen of zoomies, kisses, and tug-of-war. When she met her current foster, she ran up with a wagging tail and a huge smile, immediately showering them with affection. She plays hard with other dogs and is full of energy, but is also considerate and good at reading vibes, making her a great playmate. She seems to enjoy playing with other females more but could do well in a home with male or female dogs – just be prepared for them to play all day long!

Ideal Home

Lex is a high-energy dog who loves to be active. She absolutely needs a home with a yard and an active owner who is familiar with the needs of cattle dogs, as she's definitely a wild child! While she hasn't been kid-tested, we believe she would love children, especially older kids who can handle her enthusiastic play style.

Training & Support

Lex's leash skills still need some perfecting as she can pull a little when eager to meet new people. She's a smart dog who would train well with consistent guidance.

Lex is located in Houston, Texas. Transportation is available nationwide via our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Transportation includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. There is an additional $87 surcharge for transportation.
