About Spot

Meet Spot, an 8-month-old Labrador Retriever mix who's as sweet as he is spirited! This handsome boy is neutered, fully vaccinated, and brimming with the boundless enthusiasm of youth. Spot is an outgoing, curious, and playful companion who's always ready for an adventure, whether it's exploring the great outdoors or snuggling up on the couch. He's a social butterfly with other dogs, enjoying playful interactions and respecting their cues. Spot would do best with canine siblings his size or larger (40-90 lbs) who can match his moderate to high energy levels.

He's also a very good boy at home, fully housebroken and crate-trained, and he's comfortable being left to roam freely. Spot lives harmoniously with cats and enjoys their company, so a dog-savvy feline friend would be a great addition to his home. While he can be a bit possessive of his toys, he doesn't exhibit resource guarding and is fed separately to ensure peace. Spot loves his toys and long-lasting chews, and tug-of-war is a favorite game! He's affectionate and enjoys sniffing his surroundings before settling down for cuddles with his people. His dramatic somersaults onto his dog bed after playtime are sure to bring a smile to your face!

Ideal Home

Spot would thrive in an active home that can provide plenty of walks, hikes, and mental enrichment, ideally with a backyard for him to run and play. He's expected to do well with dog-savvy children and would appreciate an active family looking for a loving, playful best friend.

Ongoing Health

Spot is neutered and fully vaccinated.

Training & Support

Spot gets excited when meeting new dogs on leash and can pull, so he'll benefit from slow introductions and ongoing training. He's been working on leash manners with a gentle leader and is making progress. He can also be jumpy when meeting new people, out of pure excitement, which training will help manage.
