Pop

Hello, I'm Pop! I have super soft fur and the cutest white markings on my nose. I'm a happy-go-lucky pup who absolutely loves to snuggle and keep my humans warm. My fur is a little thicker and fuller than most pitties, hinting at some Border Collie in my lineage! I came to Wags with my brother and sister from New Mexico when I was very young.

I'm proud to say I'm potty trained! I'll let you know when I need to go out by resting near the door. I'm also kennel trained, though I much prefer to be out and about with my favorite people. I'm very trustworthy and don't chew on things I shouldn't when left to my own devices – I usually just nap! At night, I love to be as close to my foster mom as possible.

I know 'sit,' 'stay,' 'wait,' and 'off,' and I'm working hard on 'come.' Food is a big motivator for me, and peanut butter and yogurt are my absolute favorites! I always wait for the 'okay' command before I dive in. I'm getting much better at taking treats gently when reminded.

I live with a wonderful 10-year-old foster sister and have met her friends. While I'm super good with my foster sister, I do tend to bark at her friends initially. I'm a little unsure about younger children because they can be a bit fast-paced for me at first, but I warm up and usually end up just giving them a good lick after about 10 minutes. I'm not quite sure what a cat is, but I absolutely adore other dogs! I am my slightly younger foster brother's emotional support dog; he needs to be beside me at all times. I love playing with my big foster sister (almost two and 55 lbs) – tug, keep away, and chase are our favorite games. My big foster brother (almost four and 96 lbs) tolerates my playful nudges. Wrestling, zoomies, and tug-of-war are my favorite activities with my canine companions. I also enjoy neighborhood walks!

Why am I the very best dog in the whole world? I'm smart and eager to learn new things! I want to be friends with everyone and just take a little time to warm up. I love to snuggle and be loved on, and I'm always ready for an adventure. I'd make a fantastic hiking buddy and travel companion. Most of all, I just want to be with my people, have a dog friend, and live the best life!

My dream day would involve a morning walk, a delicious breakfast, lots of playtime, a good nap, a lunch snack, more playtime, an afternoon nap, dinner, more playtime, snuggles, and a final potty break before bedtime.

I'm a bit like Puff the Magic Dragon – my foster mom even made up her own lyrics to the song for me! My favorite toys include stuffies and hard plastic chew toys. I also love anything that lets me play tug. I enjoy playtime with long naps in between.

What makes my body wiggle and my tail wag harder than anything? When my people get home!

My dream forever family would have older children, another dog, and an active, fun lifestyle. Sleeping in the bed with my humans is a must! I deserve an awesome family that will continue to work with me on my quirks and celebrate my amazingness every day!

Training & Support

I am potty and kennel trained, but I don't enjoy being in my kennel. I am trustworthy when left alone. I am working on 'come' and am still learning to take treats gently without being reminded. I bark at new people initially.
