Meet Gator.
If you've ever wished for a dog who believes every person he meets is a long-lost best friend, Gator is ready to make your dream come true. At 1.5 years old, Gator is a big-hearted, affectionate guy whose favorite thing in the world is being with his people. He's the definition of a love bug and gets so excited to see you that he can hardly contain himself. Belly rubs are at the top of his list of favorite things, and he'll happily soak up all the love you're willing to give. When he's not collecting belly rubs, Gator loves a good game of tug-of-war, hopping in the car for a ride, or joining you on an adventure. He even enjoys cruising along on ATV and side-by-side rides. He's friendly with other dogs and has never met a stranger—Gator truly thinks everyone should be his friend. Unlike many dogs, Gator isn't especially food motivated. He'd much rather earn your praise, affection, and attention than a handful of treats, although he won't turn down a nice, big bone to chew on. Gator is the kind of dog who loves with his whole heart. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will be your biggest fan, your adventure buddy, and your professional belly-rub enthusiast, Gator is waiting to meet you.
Ideal Home
Gator would do best with a family without small children, that can continue reinforcing good manners while appreciating his joyful personality. He'll also need a home without cats, as he has a tendency to chase them, and his family should be mindful around roads since he may try to chase passing cars.
Ongoing Health
No ongoing health concerns to note.
Training & Support
Because Gator gets so excited, he can be a little bouncy when greeting people. His new family should be prepared to continue reinforcing good manners.
