Cabbage is a handsome 2-year-old Lab mix with a sweet personality and a heart full of love. This black-and-white boy came to us as an owner surrender and is now searching for a family to call his own.
At just 34 pounds, Cabbage is a great size--not too big, not too small. He's easy to handle and would fit well into many different types of homes.
Cabbage is a friendly, easygoing dog who enjoys being around people. He gets along well with other dogs and has done great with kids, making him a wonderful choice for a family looking for a companion everyone can enjoy.
Despite the changes in his life, Cabbage has remained a loving and affectionate boy. He is ready to leave shelter life behind and find a home where he can be a cherished member of the family. Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.
Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM.
All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet.
Fees:
Dogs over 6 months old: $100
Puppies under 6 months: $200.
Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip).

NOTE: Our adoptions are first come first served, simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you, you must come meet the animal in person in order to be considered for adoption.
If you rent you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.
