Howdy y’all! I’m Raz, a handsome and sensitive Dachshund mix with an old soul, looking for a fresh start after my previous owner sadly passed away. I’m a loyal and independent guy searching for a quiet, low-key environment. I’ve been working hard at my training boot camp, learning to be a polite pup and stay in my crate. While I may be a cowboy, my manners are top-tier! I love to be around my people but also appreciate my personal space. I’d prefer hanging out in an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy kids who respect boundaries. When it comes to other pets, I’ve got a bit of a lone wolf attitude and would love to be your loyal one-and-only. My feelings have been hurt by other dogs before, but I’m learning to dust off my boots and handle it. That doesn’t mean this cowboy can’t get rowdy; I love a good "bug tussle" with my person! If you’re looking for a total roly-poly, I’m your guy! I’m ready to retire from the range and be your loyal canine companion.

Ideal Home

An adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy kids who understand and respect boundaries. Raz would prefer to be the only pet in the household.

Raz is crate-trained and learning to be a polite pup. He has had negative experiences with other dogs in the past but is working through them.
