Zac is a 5-year-old, neutered Anatolian Shepherd mix weighing around 60 pounds. He's a charming boy who was rescued from a local shelter and has since undergone FHO surgery on a back leg due to a previous untreated injury. He's now fully healed with no ongoing medical needs or medications. Zac is the definition of a loyal companion, offering a wonderful blend of playful energy and relaxed cuddles. He enjoys spending time with other dogs, is respectful during playtime, and is calm on walks, showing no reactivity to passing dogs. Inside, he's a low-energy dog who simply wants to be near his people. He's house-trained, crate-trained, and happily enters his crate with a treat. Zac absolutely adores people and thrives on attention, belly rubs, and gentle pets. He can be quite the conversationalist, especially when dinner is late, and his vocal personality is sure to bring a smile to your face. He's done well meeting new people and is comfortable in the car. He enjoys toys and treats and has shown no signs of resource guarding. Zac would do well with a family willing to continue teaching him not to jump up when excited.
Ideal Home
Zac would thrive in a home where he isn't left alone for long periods. He enjoys having canine companions and seems happiest with other dogs around or with people nearby. He is looking for a devoted dog who will shower his people with love and happily keep them company.
Ongoing Health
Zac has fully recovered from FHO surgery on a back leg and requires no further medical intervention or medication.
