About Coraline
Coraline is a sweet, laid-back 6-month-old Doberman or Beauceron mix who currently weighs 45 lbs. She's estimated to reach 85-90 lbs when fully grown. Coraline is a delightful blend of sweet, curious, silly, cuddly, and endlessly entertaining. Her quirky charm never fails to bring a smile, especially with her favorite game of peek-a-boo, which often ends in happy zoomies. She's deeply people-oriented and loves to be close to her humans, often following them around the house as a quiet shadow. Coraline shows affection with gentle puppy kisses and by resting a paw or her nose against you as she drifts off to sleep. She's a calm and balanced companion, content to entertain herself with a toy or bone while you work from home. Coraline is also social with people and other dogs, greeting them calmly before continuing her explorations. She's the perfect mix of playful and laid-back, independent yet loving, and goofy yet intuitive – your loyal sidekick and best friend.
Ideal Home
Coraline would thrive in a home that enjoys a mix of adventure and relaxation. She's happy with leisurely walks, short play sessions in a securely fenced yard, or joining you on longer hikes and beach trips. She enjoys puzzle toys, treat-dispensing games, and chew toys. Coraline would benefit from a family that understands she's still gaining confidence in busy public areas and can help her socialize as she grows. She would absolutely adore a family that includes her in their outdoor adventures while also appreciating her calm, affectionate nature at home. Coraline needs a home with a fenced yard and should not live in an apartment or condo due to potential noise sensitivities. She needs to have another dog in her forever home as she thrives with canine companionship. She could happily live with older children and cats. She would do best with dog-friendly cats who have previous experience with dogs. Coraline needs her human to be home more often than not, but doggy daycare a few days a week would also be suitable.
Ongoing Health
Coraline is a healthy puppy. Her adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations, spay procedure, microchip, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian.
Training & Support
Coraline is potty trained and kennel trained. She is still working on mastering leash training and will need additional practice to perfect her skills in her new home. She is treat-motivated and will walk beside you with positive reinforcement. She alerts her foster when she needs to go outside by pacing at the back door and can use a dog door. She needs to be taken out every 3-4 hours on a consistent schedule until she settles into her new routine. Using a doggy doorbell can be helpful if a dog door is not available.
