Meet Ashton! This handsome 4-year-old, 88-pound Yellow Labrador Retriever is a bundle of joy and energy. Ashton was a beloved family member since he was a puppy, and his world was turned upside down when his family had to move. He's adjusting to shelter life, but his happy-go-lucky spirit shines through. Ashton is a true fetch enthusiast – he'll enthusiastically retrieve the ball and bring it right back for another round! He thrives on activity and loves nothing more than spending quality time with his people. While he's a big boy with a lot of love to give, he sometimes forgets his own size. He's been great with other dogs at the shelter and has a personality as large as he is!

Ashton is currently heartworm positive and will be undergoing treatment at the shelter. He'll need a dedicated family committed to keeping him on monthly heartworm prevention and ensuring he receives regular veterinary care to stay happy and healthy for years to come.

Ashton is a strong boy who is still learning to manage his size. He's eager to please and loves interaction, so continued positive reinforcement and guidance will help him thrive.
