Squishy, splooty, and spectacularly unbothered, Barney is a low-riding, soft-hearted gentleman with a built-in off switch and a serious commitment to comfort. He's estimated to be around 4 years old and weighs about 60 lbs. Barney looks like a bulldog/staffie mix with that perfectly smooshy, huggable build, but as always, breed and birthday are our best guess. His foster describes him as easygoing, affectionate, and wonderfully low-key. Barney is confident and loving with people, happy to accept affection, and greets the world with a calm curiosity.

Barney would thrive in a home that appreciates a slower pace and doesn't expect playful, high-energy antics. He prefers calm companions who respect his space and aren't looking for a wrestling partner. A cat-free home is a must, and he would do best in a home without lots of stairs due to his sturdy build and low-to-the-ground frame. Crates aren't his favorite, but he is perfectly house-trained. A retired couple or a quiet home with a comfy couch is his dream scenario.

Transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
