Marley

Marley is a shy but sweet short king who was made with "spare bits and parts" and is looking for a loving home to build his confidence. He and his brother, Elliott, were adopted from our shelter as puppies but were sadly found as strays and returned. This past has left Marley a bit anxious, and he often looks to Elliott for reassurance. However, Marley is incredibly loving and devoted to his people. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes, people, and cats. Marley is a bonded pair with Elliott, and they must be adopted together.

Ideal Home

Marley thrives with older children (9 years and up) and is not as comfortable with toddlers. He would do best in a home where he is not left alone for extended periods and receives daily exercise and mental stimulation. A quiet environment where he has a safe space to decompress, preferably alongside his brother Elliott, is essential.

Ongoing Health

Marley is neutered, fully vaccinated, and house-trained.

Training & Support

Marley is shy and anxious, looking to Elliott for confidence. He would benefit from continued socialization and positive reinforcement training. Building trust with Marley can be achieved through gentle attention, play, and treats, especially his favorite stinky wet dog food.

Transporation

Marley and Elliott can be visited by appointment at our shelter near San Luis, CO, or any Saturday in Colorado Springs. Transportation can be arranged with advance notice.
