Papi Chulo

Papi Chulo is an approximately 8-year-old, 6-pound neutered male Chihuahua mix with a docked tail. He was rescued from the Miami Dade Animal Shelter and is a unique boy with a lot of personality! He was neutered and received dental surgery by IMPS, and is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, including rabies. Papi Chulo is feisty and definitely has his own way of doing things, so he'll need a patient and experienced owner who understands the breed. He loves to be carried and enjoys his organic canned dog food, sometimes even being spoon-fed! He has a favorite teddy bear that he is territorial about and enjoys sleeping with in his crate.

Ideal Home

Papi Chulo would do best in a home without small children or grandchildren. He gets along with small female dogs but not male dogs, so he would be happy as the only dog or with one female canine companion. He is an escape artist and needs to be watched closely to prevent him from getting out of the fence.

Ongoing Health

Papi Chulo is fully vetted. He is still working on potty training and wears a belly band. He is familiar with using puppy pads.

Training & Support

He is still learning to walk on a harness and does not walk for long distances. He needs an owner experienced with Chihuahuas who can help him continue to learn and adapt.
