Griffin is one of the most brilliant dogs ever! He is true to his breed and embodies all of the incredible traits expected from Belgian Malinois. Griffin is also insanely affectionate, snuggly, and a huge fan of sleeping! He has a fantastic off switch and while he could be a stellar sport dog prospect, he is also active-home material. Griffin is great with other dogs that have good social skills and balanced behavior. He will keep unruly young dogs in check, appropriately, but has a lower tolerance for reactive behavior. Griffin is neutral towards passive/older cats but has not been exposed to playful or young cats at this time. With his brilliance, and lack of a general prey drive, we believe he could live safely with cats with proper introductions. Griffin has shown some protective tendencies towards females from males, and with this, needs a home that can safely instill boundaries and a confident handler. In a setting with men and women that he knows, he is predictable and safe and very happy! However, with men he does not know, he can sometimes be tense and uncomfortable. Because of this, he will always need structured introductions to men. Once they are in his club, it's for life! This social guy would do best in a home with another dog that is playful, active, and that loves people. Griffin thrives with a strong role model! He has been exposed to horses and is gentle and curious around them as well.
