Zeus McGoose is a handsome 2-year-old boy, weighing around 28 lbs, who we believe is a Cocker Spaniel mix. He's got the most magnificent floppy ears, a beautiful golden-red coat, adorable freckles, and expressive forehead wrinkles that make him look like he's stepped right out of a fairytale. He's a sweet, fun, and easygoing companion who enjoys being part of whatever you're doing, whether he's playing with his beloved squeaky toys or simply lounging nearby.
Ideal Home
Zeus would thrive in a home with a backyard where he can chase toys, zoom around, and enjoy sunbaths. While we haven't seen him with children, we believe he has great potential as a family dog, especially for families with older kids who are looking for a goofy, toy-loving companion.
Ongoing Health
Zeus is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has also been tested for heartworms and treated if needed. He is microchipped with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Zeus is a smart cookie who already knows how to sit and takes treats with a gentle mouth. He is eager to please, making training fun and rewarding. He is crate trained and does wonderfully in his crate. He is also doing very well with potty training, with very rare accidents in the house.

Transportation
Zeus is currently fostered in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA certified transport system, with drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. There is an additional $87 surcharge for transportation due to rising costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
