Percy

Meet Percy, a lovable, loyal, and spirited Shepherd/Shar Pei/Retriever mix who is searching for his forever home! This approximately 2.5-year-old, 50-pound pup is a true people-lover and a fan of all toys. His absolute favorite way to have fun is playing fetch or frisbee with older children (10+). Percy is an energetic and playful dog who thrives on interactive play and physical activities, but he's also perfectly happy to settle down for pets and snuggles after a busy day. His enthusiasm for life, combined with his affectionate nature, makes him an ideal companion.

Ideal Home

Percy would love a home where he can engage in interactive play and get plenty of exercise. He enjoys playing fetch and frisbee, especially with older children (ages 10 and up).

Ongoing Health

Percy is up-to-date on vetting, which includes basic vetting, rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, and monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

Training & Support

Percy knows "sit," "down," "stay," and "wait," and is currently working on his "come" command. He is house-trained and crate-trained. He was also trained on an invisible fence and walks nicely on leash, even heeling when asked. Percy gets along with other dogs and has a rough play style, so he does best with firm but not harsh commands. He has been okay with cats in the past. While he is house-trained, a refresher will be needed in his new home, and enrollment in obedience training is strongly recommended to help him transition smoothly and build a strong bond with his new family.
