Dex

Dex is a 1.5-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix who is smart, loyal, and affectionate. He bonds deeply with his people and is happiest when included and secure in his home. Dex loves to play, especially tug of war and catch, and he gets along well with dogs of all sizes. He's intuitive and respectful, backing off if another dog isn't interested in playing. He walks calmly on leash, showing no reactivity to other dogs. Dex is intelligent, eager to learn, and enjoys having structure and a job to do. He is fully house-trained and crate-trained, sleeping quietly through the night. He can also be left out in the house without destructive behaviors once his energy needs are met.

Ideal Home

Dex has a strong prey drive and is not suitable for a home with cats or small animals. He would do best in an adult-only home or with dog-savvy teens who understand boundaries, as he may growl when unsure around new people. He would thrive in a home with adult adopters who enjoy walks, outdoor time, and continuing his training.
