Huck

Huck is a handsome 2-year-old Beagle mix weighing in at 16 lbs. He has the softest coat and the biggest soulful eyes that are guaranteed to steal your heart. His happy-go-lucky personality makes him a joy to have around. Huck is a little shy on the first day, but once he trusts you, he'll want nothing more than to snuggle up close to his favorite people. He loves other dogs and has a blast playing with his canine friends, though he can get a little enthusiastic during playtime. He's also discovering the fun of toys and has quickly become a fan of balls and everything that squeaks. Huck is learning to walk on a leash and is doing great, though he's currently taking slower, shorter walks to strengthen his left hind leg after a surgical repair from a recent injury. We think he'll absolutely love daily neighborhood adventures once he's fully recovered.

Huck is looking for a family that will continue to help him build his confidence, shower him with love, and appreciate his playful spirit and affectionate heart.

Ongoing Health

Huck has a recently repaired leg injury that required surgery. He is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines.

Training & Support

Huck is crate trained and is making great progress with house training. He is learning to walk on a leash and is doing well. He comes on strong at first meets with other dogs, so he'd do best with dogs who enjoy an active playmate. Remember that a family pet takes work, dedication, and many years of commitment.
