Lucy

Lucy is a 5-year-old, 31 lb Australian Cattle Dog who was rescued by Kind Spirits Rescue Dogs Pet Lifeline. She was living on a chain and is now in a private foster home in Texas, learning what it's like to be loved. Lucy is a loyal, observant, smart, and pretty mellow Blue Heeler. While she can be a little bossy with some dogs, she is playful with most and has never shown interest in cats. She's a champion at fetch and walks nicely on a leash and in public. Lucy is potty and crate trained, preferring to sit next to her people when crated. She loves affection but isn't needy, and she can be a bit peculiar around small dogs. Lucy is microchipped, spayed, healthy, and up to date on all her vaccinations and preventatives. She can be timid with new people and needs some time to warm up. Typical of her breed, she enjoys supervising and following her people, often with a classic Heeler side-eye.

Lucy would do best with someone familiar with herding breeds.

Lucy is potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained. She may try to nibble the heels of dogs she doesn't like, which is typical Heeler behavior. She can be timid with new people and needs time to warm up.

Transporation

Lucy is currently in Texas. Out-of-state adopters are welcome, and private transport can be arranged for an additional $225, which includes a health certificate, vet exam, and transportation to your area.
