Prima Donna is a year-old brindle beauty with a squishy smoosh face and wrinkles for days! She's a joy on legs, filled with silly antics and an out-of-this-world personality that's sure to make you smile. Prima Donna is incredibly devoted to her people, loving hard and not being shy about showing it. She's social, affectionate, and her feel-good energy makes everything around her better. She's a pittie mix, weighing in at 58 lbs.
Ideal Home
Prima Donna loves people and would do great in a home that enjoys having visitors, as she genuinely believes everyone is her friend. She would do best in a home with older children, around 15+, who are comfortable around bigger bully-type dogs, can confidently set boundaries, and enjoy her goofy, rough-and-rowdy style of affection and play. She would also do well in a home with a happy-go-lucky, playful male dog who enjoys chase games and tolerates her silly roughhousing. However, she does not need another dog to be comfortable and would also be happy as the sole princess of your world. Prima would do best in a cat-free home.

Prima is a rescue and while we cannot guarantee breed or age, she is a healthy and happy dog.
Training & Support
Prima is a smart lady, but sometimes gets so excited that her impulse control goes out the window! In these moments, she can be a bit mouthy, as she views everything as a game and everyone as her best friend. She responds well to correction and readily listens when told "no." She already knows how to sit, loves treats, and may know "down." She walks nicely on a gentle leader, which helps keep her grounded. She can get a bit amped up at first for walks and adventures, but she learns quickly and continues to improve with a handler who checks in with her and stays focused. Prima truly shines with structure, routine, and continued positive guidance.

Transportation
Prima is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Transport includes real-time tracking, photo updates, and a private Facebook event page for adopters. There is an $87 surcharge for transportation due to rising costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
