Meet Duke, a handsome boy ready for his next adventure! Duke was once known as Thunder and was happily adopted from Pet Rescue by Judy five years ago. Sadly, his previous family had to make the difficult decision to return him due to unexpected health issues. Duke is a loyal and affectionate companion, and he's eager to find his forever home where he can continue to be the wonderful dog he is.

Ideal Home

Duke is a strong boy on leash and would do best with an owner who can confidently handle his size. He’s housebroken and crate trained, and thrives on routine. Because he's best as the only dog in the home, he'll have all the attention to himself! Due to his size and limited experience with younger children, we recommend an adult-only home or one with older teenagers.

Ongoing Health

Duke is currently managing a thyroid condition. The good news is, it's easily managed with just two small tablets a day! He has completed his weight loss journey, but will need a dedicated adopter to help him stay active and maintain his healthy lifestyle.

Training & Support

Duke is already housebroken and crate trained, so he knows the ropes. He loves his daily walks, playtime in the yard, and being involved in family activities. He even enjoys "Dog for a Day" trips and is good in the car!
