Maisey

Maisey is a darling Maltipoo, around 2 years old, who has overcome a difficult start in life. Confiscated from a meth house, she arrived with a healed burn on her shoulder, leaving a small, hairless patch. Despite her past, Maisey is incredibly loving, affectionate, and playful, showcasing remarkable resilience. Recently, she developed a tail-chasing behavior that, after a visit to a neurologist, is believed to be a residual effect of something she was given. She is now on medication that has significantly reduced this behavior. Maisey remains energetic and playful, greeting everyone she meets with a friendly disposition. She gets along well with other dogs, though she might be a bit boisterous for more senior or timid pups. Maisey is excellent at entertaining herself with toys and doesn't suffer from separation anxiety, often choosing to sleep in a different room after some quality time with her foster. She walks beautifully on a leash and has a brisk pace.

Ideal Home

Maisey would do best in an adult-only home. She can be a bit rambunctious for older or shy dogs. Due to car sickness and drooling, she's not the best companion for long car trips.

Ongoing Health

Maisey is on medication to manage a tail-chasing behavior, which is believed to be a neurological alteration. This medication has been effective in reducing the behavior. She is spayed, up-to-date on all her shots, and microchipped.

Training & Support

While Maisey is generally well-behaved, she may need continued patience and understanding regarding her occasional tail-chasing episodes. Her medication is helping, but ongoing support will be beneficial. She is great on a leash.
