Cookie is a gentle and loving Labrador mix with a sweet, loyal nature. She is a wonderful companion who enjoys being close to her people and brings calm, comforting energy to those around her. She gets along well with other dogs and children. Cookie is very noble, affectionate, and loyal, making her an excellent family dog. She can be a little nervous at times, especially in new situations, but with patience and kindness she settles in and shows her trusting heart. One of Cookie’s favorite things is looking out the window. It makes her happy to watch the world go by, especially during car rides or quiet moments at home. Cookie was born underneath a house that was completely in ruins, during freezing, below-zero temperatures. Despite such a harsh beginning, she has grown into a resilient and loving dog who is ready for a safe, warm, and forever home.
Ideal Home
An active family that enjoys outdoor activities and owns their home with a fenced backyard. Families should have an open conscience about the rescue of street animals and understand their need for protection and education, with experience in dog behavior and training. High tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are essential.
Ongoing Health
Cookie has completed her spay/neuter, DHPPI vaccine, Rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, and deworming. She also tested negative for heartworm and has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Cookie is not house-trained. The rescue team invests significant effort in the health and emotional rehabilitation of rescued pets, and while they cannot house-train every animal, they provide thorough instructions on integrating a new dog into your home. Consistent communication with the rescue team during the trial adoption period is imperative.

Transporation
Cookie is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, and is available for transport to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest. A transport fee of $400.00, paid by the adopter prior to departure, is required.
