Winston

Winston is a handsome fellow looking for a special home. He's been with us since March 2024, after being found as a stray in Edmonton. It's evident that Winston hasn't had the kindest experiences in his past, and he's a dog who needs patience, respect, and an understanding of his body language. While he might not be a dog you can just pick up and cuddle anytime, with time and trust, he can become your best buddy! He communicates very clearly through his body language and vocalizations, and we're happy to teach you how to understand him. If you respect his boundaries, you'll gain a wonderful companion.

Ideal Home

Winston would thrive in a home where he is the only dog, but he is okay with cats. Absolutely no children or future children should be in the home. He is looking for a home within the Lower Mainland or Fraser Valley only.

Ongoing Health

Winston has food allergies and must remain on his Anallergenic Diet. He is neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Winston is house-trained and prefers to go potty outside, though he will use a pee pad if necessary. He is good with other small dogs but is possessive of humans, food, and treats. He is unable to have his nails trimmed without sedation and would benefit from using a scratch board to keep his nails short and stress-free. Experience working with dogs who have touch sensitivity, understanding dog body language, and signals is essential.
