Poppy

Meet Poppy, a delightful 3-year-old, 47 lb brindle girl with the most expressive ears and a heart brimming with love. Poppy's journey began on the tough streets of Houston, Texas, where she was found roaming alone. She ended up in an overcrowded shelter, but thankfully, a loving foster family stepped in just in time to give her the chance she deserved. It's been over a year, and Poppy is still dreaming of her forever home. She adores people, greeting everyone with unmatched enthusiasm, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Poppy is content to rest peacefully in her kennel when her foster dad is away, showing she's well-adjusted and calm. She's house-trained and has no destructive chewing habits.

Ideal Home

Poppy thrives on activity and loves her regular walks and trips to the dog park, where she's made many canine friends. She enjoys playing chase and soaking up all the fun. While she's met children and done well, her energetic nature means she'd be happiest in a home with older children, around 12 years and up.

Ongoing Health

Poppy is fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. She is up-to-date on all vaccines, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick prevention. She will come with a health certificate prior to transport.

Training & Support

Poppy is house-trained and doesn't engage in destructive chewing. Her foster family has a great routine with her, and she settles well.
