Meet Atlas!
Atlas is a 4-year-old Great Pyrenees/Australian Shepherd mix weighing in at 85 pounds of confidence, fluff, and occasional silliness. He's a handsome guy with a big personality, a fluffy half-tail, and plenty of love to give. Atlas has excellent house manners and does well in either a house or an apartment. When kept on a regular schedule, he has had no accidents indoors and is generally calm and relaxed inside. He enjoys lounging on his bed, soaking up belly rubs, and spending time with his people. While he can settle comfortably in a crate, he prefers sleeping outside of it and may become vocal if confined for long periods. When something exciting happens, Atlas's playful side comes out. He may get the zoomies, bark a little, and show off his goofy personality. He knows how to sit on command and is always happy to work for his favorite treats. Atlas enjoys daily walks, playing with toys, napping, and getting attention from his humans. One of his favorite things is being scratched right above his tail; his whole body lights up with happiness! Atlas is dog-friendly and enjoys the company of other dogs. His prey drive is strong, and he will chase if given the opportunity, so he is not a good fit for homes with cats or other small animals. He can also clear a 4-foot fence, so a securely fenced yard with a taller fence is recommended. Atlas would thrive with a loving family or a person looking for a loyal companion. He's a wonderful combination of gentle, affectionate, playful, and protective, and he's ready to devote his big heart to a forever home.
Ideal Home
Atlas is not a good fit for homes with cats or other small animals due to his strong prey drive. A securely fenced yard with a fence of at least 4 feet is recommended.

Atlas may become vocal if confined in a crate for long periods. He is generally well-behaved but his prey drive is strong.

Atlas is located in New Berlin. Transport is available to our adoption center.
