About Finn

Hi, I'm Finn, a 101-pound Labrador Retriever mix with the heart of a giant teddy bear! I'll be honest, new people, new places, and unfamiliar situations make me feel incredibly anxious. When you first meet me, you probably won't see much of my personality. I spend a lot of time keeping my back end against a wall because it helps me feel safe while I keep an eye on everything going on around me. The quickest way to earn my trust is definitely through snacks – I absolutely LOVE food and treats! They help me realize you're a friend and reassure me that everything is going to be okay. Underneath all of my worries is an incredibly sweet boy who loves gentle hugs and even has a talent for catching flies every now and then!

Ideal Home

Finn needs a patient and understanding family that knows confidence doesn't happen overnight.

Ongoing Health

Finn is a healthy boy.

Training & Support

Finn will likely be pretty shut down and nervous when he first arrives home, but if you give him time, consistency, lots of reassurance, and plenty of tasty treats, he promises he'll keep making little steps forward. Every kind word, every gentle interaction, and every positive experience will help him grow into the dog he's meant to be. He truly believes that once he settles in and his true personality begins to shine, he'll make a wonderful family companion. If you're willing to believe in him while he learns to believe in himself, he knows you'll make an incredible team.
