Bert

Bert is a handsome, 5.5-month-old Great Pyrenees with a confident and food-motivated personality. He spent his early months on a farm, giving him plenty of exposure to various animals, including cats, sheep, turkeys, ducks, chickens, and cows. While he has farm life experience, Bert is looking for a family to call his own rather than a working role. He's an independent boy who's sure to become a cherished member of his new household.

Bert would thrive in a home where he can be a cherished family dog.

Ongoing Health

Bert will receive all age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and a registered microchip. If he is 6 months or older, he will be spayed or neutered and tested for heartworm. He will be current on flea and heartworm prevention. A veterinarian will complete a health exam and issue a certificate within 10 days of departure.

Training & Support

Bert is food-motivated, which can be a great asset in training. As he has had exposure to many animals, he may adjust well to a multi-pet household, though his specific needs in this area should be assessed.

• Adoption interviews/meet-and-greets for out-of-state adoptions are conducted via video call.
• The adoption fee for out-of-state adoptions is $300 plus transport fees, which vary by location.
• RTB reserves the right to deny any application deemed unsuitable for the animal, and adoptions are not on a first-come, first-served basis.

Transporation

Bert is currently fostered in Texas but is available for adoption and transport out of state to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport.
