Trix is an 8-month-old, 35-pound Pitbull mix with the sweetest, smartest soul. She was surrendered to a shelter with her brother and was the more timid of the two. While her brother has found his forever home, Trix needed extra time in foster care to build her confidence. She is gentle but fearful, and while she's never shown reactivity, she prefers to hide when unsure. Trix is incredibly observant and learns quickly; she figured out the doggy door within days! With patience and trust-building, she softens and even plays with toys and enjoys sunbathing with other dogs. She’s a quiet, smart puppy who will blossom into an extraordinary companion for the right family.
Ideal Home
Trix needs a home where someone is around more often than not. She thrives with patience, compassion, and consistency to build trust. She does well with other dogs after proper acclimation and would likely do best with a confident canine companion to learn from. Adopters without another dog should have a thoughtful plan for socialization and confidence building.

Trix is housebroken and loves her crate. She is learning to walk on a leash. While she has been around kids and is shy at first, her history with cats is unknown. She is a diamond in the rough who requires commitment to help her find her courage.

Transporation
Trix is currently in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas. Transport is included in her adoption donation and she can be transported once an adopter is matched. Transports run every few weeks.
