Meet Oakley! This handsome 68lb terrier/pitbull mix was born around December 16, 2021. Oakley is the sweetest boy who will follow you around like he is your shadow. If you are in a room, you guessed it, Oakley will be too! His foster mom says he is very independent and smart, already knowing how to "sit" and "get on your bed." Walks are Oakley's favorite thing, and he's a pro at leash walking, though he knows the command "slow down." It's truly heartwarming to see how sweet Oakley is, especially considering what he's been through. He was found as a stray in a rough neighborhood, emaciated, and with a nearly severed ear. Despite his past, Oakley is ready to shower his forever family with the sweetest greetings and tail wags.
Ideal Home
Oakley would likely prefer to be the only dog in the home, as he tolerates other dogs but would probably be happier without them. He also enjoys chasing cats and squirrels, so a home without them would be best.

Oakley is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.
Training & Support
Oakley is potty trained. He is good on leash but responds to the command "slow down."

Transporation
Oakley is located in Houston, TX. Transport is available out of state. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. You will be able to track the van using the app Life360 and receive updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are also available to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport.
