Kona (available for transport to the PNW)

Lakona, affectionately known as Kona, is a 1.5-year-old bundle of sweetness with a big heart! He came to us after a difficult medical situation, but after surgery to remove a foreign object and some recovery time, he's now ready to find his forever home. Kona is a friendly and gentle soul who takes a little time to warm up to new faces, but once he does, he's all about cuddles and affection. He adores other dogs and has learned to live harmoniously with cats. Kona thrives when he has a confident canine companion by his side, which helps him feel more secure in new situations.

Ideal Home

Kona would love a home with a fun-loving, playful doggy friend to romp with. He also needs a loving family who can help him continue to build his confidence. Because he can get a bit goofy and energetic during zoomies, he might unintentionally knock over very young children, so a home with older children or no children would be best.

Ongoing Health

Kona has fully recovered from his surgery to remove a foreign body from his stomach and intestines. He also had fluid removed from his belly.

Training & Support

Kona is 100% crate trained and has outgrown his chewing phase. He walks beautifully on and off leash and knows basic commands like sit, down, crate, heel, and come. He's a "velcro dog" who meets everyone with kindness and enjoys simply hanging out with his people.
