Meet Rango! Estimated to be born in September 2020 and weighing around 80lbs, Rango is a strikingly handsome, long-haired German Shepherd. His impressive size and good looks are sure to turn heads! Rango is a kind and intelligent dog, but he's also very strong and still young, so we're looking for an experienced adopter who can help him reach his full potential. He's already mastered crate training and is very well-behaved when inside. Rango thrives with positive reinforcement and consistent guidance. He knows "sit" and "down," and can even offer a paw! This gentle giant has a loving heart and is seeking a kind, savvy, and positive partner to help him continue learning. He's a powerful dog who needs a confident leader who can guide him to become his best self. Rango works easily for someone he respects, especially with high-value food rewards. He's currently working on his leash manners, both on and off-leash. He's an amazing bear of a boy looking for a fabulous human to guide his journey. Rango has participated in playgroups with other carefully selected dogs and does well with the right match, but he's also happy to be the only dog. Due to his age and size, Rango needs an adult-only home with no children.
Ideal Home
Rango needs an adult-only home with no children. He requires a securely fenced yard that is at least 5 feet high and adequately sized for a dog his size. The fence must be physical and visible, and typically connected to the house. Shock or electronic fences will not be approved.
Ongoing Health
Rango is up-to-date on vaccinations and is microchipped.
Training & Support
Rango is a smart dog who benefits from positive reinforcement and consistent direction. He is working on his leash skills. He responds well to praise and tasty treats.

Transportation
Rango is currently in foster care in Poulsbo, WA. Meet and greets will take place there. We are considering homes in Western Washington and possibly Oregon.
