Toby

Toby is a handsome 5-year-old boy, weighing in at 61.6lbs, with a beautiful white and blue merle coat. After years of living outdoors, Toby is ready to trade the elements for a cozy couch and a loving family. He's been enjoying his time at the shelter, making new friends and learning that people can be wonderful, especially when treats are involved! Toby is a smart cookie and shines during games like "name game" and "find it," often offering a quick, confident sit before you even ask. He walks politely on leash with minimal pulling and frequently checks in with his handlers, settling into a nice rhythm during his outings. Toby's trainers have found that he feels most grounded when he can take things at his own pace, and he truly blossoms with those who understand and respect that. He may also enjoy living with other dogs and would likely thrive with some support as he adjusts to his new life.

Ideal Home

Toby will thrive in a home without children, or with children who are at least 10 years old. An ideal home would also include a secured, fenced yard.

Toby responds well to positive reinforcement and enjoys interactive games. He needs a patient adopter who will allow him to adjust at his own pace.

Transporation

Toby is currently located at Foothills Animal Shelter in Golden, CO. We are able to arrange transport within Colorado for approved adopters.
