Watermelon is a sweet, approximately 6-8 year old, female Siberian Husky mix with a heart of gold and a journey that's led her to us. She's a calm, friendly, and well-behaved girl who enjoys gentle strolls and taking in the world around her. Despite some age-related health concerns, Watermelon is a resilient soul who deserves a loving and understanding home. She was found after possible vehicular trauma and has since been managing hip arthritis, spondylosis, an ear infection, and a urinary tract infection. She's currently on gabapentin for pain and has been treated for her ear and urinary infections. Radiographs revealed bilateral hip osteoarthritis and spondylosis deformans, which can be managed with weight management, exercise, supplements, and veterinary care. She also has dental tartar and fractured teeth that warrant a veterinary dental exam. Watermelon recently enjoyed a nearly three-mile outing, showing no signs of limping and remaining non-reactive to various stimuli. She's a gentle, affectionate, and well-behaved companion who enjoys sniffing her way through the world and will patiently wait when directed.
