Meet Sweetie, a delightful 10-year-old, 82lb senior dog who is ready to shower her forever family with love! Sweetie arrived with some challenges, struggling with mobility due to her weight. Thanks to thyroid medication and dedicated care from her foster family, she's made incredible progress! Over the past two months, Sweetie has lost a significant amount of weight, revealing her sweet and playful personality. She's house-trained, enjoys short walks, car rides, and playing in the grass. Belly rubs are a favorite, and she happily entertains herself with a Kong. Sweetie takes her medication with food without any fuss, making her care routine stress-free. She walks beautifully on a leash and would love to join you on daily strolls. While she's still learning to interact with other dogs, she has shown some reactivity but corrects quickly with encouragement and is improving with each introduction. Sweetie is the perfect companion for someone seeking a loving, active senior dog who isn't overly high-energy, offering a blend of snuggle buddy and mellow walking partner. A word of caution: Sweetie has declared war on the vacuum cleaner, so be prepared for some spirited barking when it makes an appearance!
Ideal Home
Sweetie would thrive in a home where she can continue to enjoy her days with gentle exercise and plenty of affection. She's looking for a patient family who understands her need to continue building confidence with other dogs.
Ongoing Health
