Bubba Bear is approximately 3 years old and weighs around 60 lbs. He's believed to be a Black Lab/Pittie mix, but with rescue, breed and age are always a mystery! He has a truly unique face that will instantly bring a smile to your lips. Bubba is one of the gentlest, most easy-going dogs you'll ever meet. He brings a sense of peace to any home and has a calming presence. He's happy to follow you from room to room and be your quiet companion. Bubba is a bit of a "slow burn" when it comes to new people and environments, preferring to observe and assess things at his own pace. Once he's comfortable, his affectionate side shines through, and he'll politely ask for pets by gently resting his head on your lap or offering his paw. He absolutely adores treats, taking them with the gentlest mouth, and his little tongue's efforts to compensate for his lack of teeth are ridiculously adorable! Bubba is a homebody who would thrive in a calm environment.
Ideal Home
Bubba would do best in a calm home that matches his mellow personality. He'd likely be happiest in a residential neighborhood with a fenced yard where he can enjoy a predictable routine and a peaceful environment. Apartment living or life in a busy city probably wouldn't be his ideal match. He'd do best with another calm, mellow dog who shares his laid-back outlook rather than an energetic playmate. He has also done well with cats.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned.
Training & Support
Bubba is crate trained but prefers not to be crated alone; he settles better when he can see his family or canine friends nearby. He is doing wonderfully with potty training and has only had a couple of accidents since adjusting to his foster home. He's learned to use a doggy door if needed.
