About Nellie

Meet Nellie, a sweet, playful, and loyal girl looking for her forever home πŸΎπŸ’›

Nellie is a loving, balanced, and affectionate young dog who has been in a temporary foster home and is now ready to find her permanent family. She is social, curious, and enjoys being part of everyday life, both indoors and outdoors. She forms strong bonds with her people and does best with guidance, patience, and reassurance. When she feels safe, her true sweet and playful personality shines.

Nellie is a spayed female, approximately 1.5 years old, and weighs 35 lbs. She is likely a Labrador mix. She is vaccinated, dewormed, and flea/tick protected, and is microchipped. She is excellent in the car, rides daily, and is calm indoors, well-mannered, and comfortable living both indoors and outdoors.

Nellie gets along with most dogs and tolerates cats only with supervision, so she would be best in a cat-free home or with dedicated training. Her interactions with children are unknown. She generally loves people and only barks when necessary, responding well to redirection. She does not exhibit separation anxiety and relaxes calmly when left alone. Nellie has medium energy, is playful outdoors, and calm at home. She is affectionate without being clingy.

Nellie is potty trained and asks to go out. She walks on a leash, improving quickly after initial excitement. She knows "sit" and sleeps indoors in her designated spot.

Ideal Home

Nellie would thrive in an active, loving home where she is treated as a true family member. She would do best with someone who can provide attention, structure, and reassurance. A home with another compatible dog would be a bonus. A yard is helpful, but daily walks and enrichment are essential.

Ongoing Health

Nellie is spayed, vaccinated (DHPP, parvo, coronavirus, likely rabies), dewormed, and flea/tick protected. She is also microchipped.

Training & Support

Nellie is potty trained, walks on a leash, and knows "sit." She is generally well-mannered indoors and does not have separation anxiety.
