Rufus

Rufus is a smart, playful 4-year-old Shepherd/Saint Bernard mix who has been waiting at the shelter for a long time. He may seem intimidating at first, but he is working on showing his gentle personality. Rufus enjoys toys, belly rubs, and being brushed, and he knows sit, paw, lay down, roll over, and stay. He is continuing to build confidence with leash training.

Ideal Home

Rufus is available to meet before his adoption date. His compatibility with cats, dogs, and children has not been established.

Ongoing Health

Rufus has received DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, is microchipped, and comes with a current-year dog license. He is not yet neutered; the shelter provides a certificate and pays for the procedure.

Training & Support

Rufus knows several basic commands and can hold his stay until released. He is still working on leash training.

Application Details

• The adoption fee is $64, payable by cash or check.
• Adopters must be present to adopt and have a current approved adoption application.
• Applications start by contacting the provider through Wags.
• Shelter hours are Monday through Friday from 10 AM–12 PM and 1–4 PM, and Saturday from 10 AM–2 PM.

Transportation

Adopters should arrange their own transportation.
