SANDY*

Sandy is an energetic, happy 3-year-old, 57 lb bundle of joy looking for his forever home! He spent close to a year in a foster home and showed us what a wonderful companion he can be. Sandy is house-trained, well-behaved when left alone, smart, alert, and curious. He loves his people, his toys, and has a great zest for life! A volunteer described him as "the whole package," enjoying desert walks with him without any pulling or jumpiness, and finding him to be an "awesome companion." Sandy is a pleasure to be around and enjoys any time spent with his favorite humans.

Ideal Home

Sandy will thrive in an active household with owners who can provide him with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He should not be in a home with cats or small animals due to his high prey drive.

Ongoing Health

Due to an old fracture, Sandy will need to be on joint supplements for life to ensure his comfort.

Training & Support

Sandy is a smart and eager-to-please dog who will benefit from training and positive reinforcement. He is prone to destructive behavior when bored or stressed, so crate training and plenty of enrichment are essential.
