Meet Ashlynn! This gorgeous girl is ten years young and looking for a second chance after spending over four years at our shelter. Sadly, Ashlynn was rescued from a high-kill shelter where she was on the kill list due to heartworms. Heartworm positive dogs are often among the first to be euthanized, but we're happy to report that Ashlynn has been successfully treated and is now fully healthy!
Ashlynn is a beautiful blue heeler/terrier mix, weighing in at 42 lbs. She's a high-energy pup who would thrive with an active family. She's alert, super intelligent, upbeat, and friendly, sure to be a loyal and dedicated companion. Ashlynn is selective with other dogs and will chase cats, so she needs to be the only pet in her new home. She knows commands like "sit," and her whole face lights up when she gets to play fetch with a tennis ball. Ashlynn enjoys being with people and is blossoming with the one-on-one attention she receives. She seems to especially enjoy quiet time with her person away from the shelter environment. She's a sweet girl who is soaking up all the kindness and safety she's experiencing, and we can tell she's eager to form a deep connection. Ashlynn also enjoys car rides and will quietly curl up for the journey. It truly seems Ashlynn has never known a happy or cared-for life, and she is ready for a soft landing. Will you be the one to give it to her?
